I majored in electronics and earned bachelor degree from Chang’an University located in Xi’an. Perhaps influenced by Japanese anime, I decided to go to Japan for further study. Aiming to communicate with local people and to learn Japanese culture I studied at a Japanese language school for one year and nine months.

Recently, due to the pollution and global warming, renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy have attracted more and more attention. In order to store these kinds of energy, reliable energy storage devices (lead acid, Ni-MH, and Li ion batteries) are being developed. Among various batteries, lithium ion batteries exhibit the highest energy density and voltage, and receive most attention at fundamental and practical level. Therefore, I joined in Yoshikawa’s lab which focuses on lithium ion batteries.

In my opinion, the attractive points of studying in the International Master Program at KGU are as follows: Firstly, as all of the classes are taught in English, it should be great program for students who want to work worldwide in the future. Secondly, you can make excellent friends from various countries. Talking about the culture, background and experience with them is really interesting and allow us to expand global understanding. Lastly, KGU is considered one of the most beautiful universities in Japan. I really like the scenery of the campus. Students can focus on the research in the beautiful relaxing surroundings with state-of -the- art research facilities and equipment.

After completing the master’s program I intend to hunt for a job in Japan or in my country related to my research.
