At the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kwansei Gakuin University, all coursework is conducted in Japanese. I frequently receive inquiries and applications from prospective international master’s students who send me their CVs, often noting their proficiency in English (and Urdu). However, because sufficient Japanese ability is required to complete the coursework, I am unable to admit students who do not meet the necessary level of Japanese proficiency.
