International Masters Program/Material Science and Enviromental Chemistry course

I gained knowledge about product development (Food Science) at Kasetsart University in Thailand. At present I belong to Professor Ozaki’s laboratory where currently twenty Japanese and nine foreigners study together hardly as an international team, researching the development of Medaka fish embryos at the molecular level using near-infrared spectroscopy and imaging.

Eventually, I would like to study in depth about near-infrared spectroscopy and imaging to apply it in agricultural production in my country. I decided to continue studying in the International Masters Program with a scholarship from the Japanese government in Kwansei Gakuin University, which has an all English curriculum.

The curriculum is roughly divided into coursework and laboratory work. I have been able to acquire highly technical knowledge in science in the coursework and utilize it for my research. In the laboratory, while conducting research under a specific theme, a seminar in which all laboratory members report progress of their research work and share their ideas is held once a week, which broadens and deepens my knowledge. Everyone here is very nice to me, including my laboratory members, friends from overseas, and school staff members. So I really enjoy my academic life.

For those who are interested in this program, just try to apply for it. The Graduate School of Science and Technology has well-equipped facilities that enable us to conduct forefront research. I am sure that you will have a great experience and become a top-notch researcher within a wonderful environment at Kwansei Gakuin University.
